How can I get my new makeup range reviewed?

Any contact information about beauty editors, newspaper editors. How can I get my new makeup range reviewed?
Contact (and maybe bribe) magainzes' beauty editor, send them samples and let them rave about it :)How can I get my new makeup range reviewed?
I work for a newspaper in East Yorkshire. If someone local was launching a make up range I would urge them to send out a lively, well written press release along with a sample of one of their best products. You need to include your contact details and make yourself available for interview and a photo. Being friendly and approachable is a big bonus.

thanks! my results are filled w/ facts and opions!A review on Physicians Formula Organic Wear makeup. tell me what you think and if this would persuade you into
Not bad, great for a drugstore brand. However they still use talc and they also use aluminum hydroxide which has links to reproductive cancers. Check at www.cosmeticsdatabase.comA review on Physicians Formula Organic Wear makeup. tell me what you think and if this would persuade you into
Well, I asked about a good, vegan friendly, organic makeup a couple weeks back and you yourself suggested Physicians Formula. I bought the powder in the compact and some blush. I really like the blush but the powder was too shiny for me. I already have an oily complexion and need something more matte for my skin to reduce the shine. I do use it once in a while but always end up using my old, more matte powder throughout the day. Thanks
Sounds like good stuff!
i would definately get the tinted moisterizer. it costs less and it stays on all day. it isnt cakey, and the color perfectly matches your skin tone. it is organic!!! :) :) :)

Reviews on makeup please?

Hi what foundation brand is best and why? Pros and cons ? Safe for acne and controls oil? Good coverage and lasts long for light skin.

Neutrogena skin clearing foundation

Bare minerals from Neutrogena

Revlon Colorstay 16 hours lasting one * foundation *

Physcians Formula * foundation and powder *

Maybelline pure makeup * foundation *

Note: I have oily and pale skin and some acne and some scarring that is noticable

And I need a foundation and powder out of these companies and I need to know which is best and why or which is worst

Definitely Neutrogena. If you can find a foundation that has salicylic acid in it, try that.
I love Revlon Colorstay! It is the best foundation I have ever used- and I have used department store foundations before too! there are different formulas for dry and oily skin, too. I have mild acne and it covers it all and doesn't irritate it! It's the best!
physicians formula

personally i feel that revlon is only good for lipstick, lipgloss, eyeliners and such...when it comes to foundation...i dont think its the best choice

ive used physicians formula and it didnt lead to any break outs unlike any other products ive used..maybelline may be cheaper with some products...but they lead to a lot of break outs..

i guess it depends on what type of skin you are..and on the person...but i think basically..physicians formula works on most people

Anyone has review on e.l.f. makeup?

I just bought some and they arrived last week!

I got two lip plumps, a face powder, mascara, liquid eye liner, another powder (I forget what it's called, I'm sorry, but it is some kind of bronzer or glow), and lastly eyeshadow.

I don't like them. I don't hate them either.

The powder was orange on my fair skin (I got the lightest compact they had and it was still way too dark) and wasn't particularly special in any way. The plump glosses had absolutely no plumping effect though the peppermint is a nice scent, and are so sheer the color is barely visible.

As for the mascara and eye liner, well, it was like any other, nothing particularly outstanding about either one. The eye shadow is fine, it lasts well and is rich in color (I got the purples) but the applicator they provide feels very flimsy, mine fell apart at the second use. They aren't tiny sizes, either, I mean they certainly are not samples, but not as large as store brand make-ups.

I applaud them for being cruelty-free but you get what you pay for.Anyone has review on e.l.f. makeup?
I've tried their glosses and thought they were pretty good.

The line was actually started by Scott Borba who is the man behind Borba skincare and Hard Candy. I haven't tried much but he's created some fantastic products in his lifetime so I don't imagine them being horrible and if it's only a buck you may as well give it a shot. Just remember that no company can create the best of everything.Anyone has review on e.l.f. makeup?
its junkie they sell it for 99 cents how good could it be lol
well, if you're looking for affordable, decent makeup, elf is good enough. but i agree with everyone...you can just invest in other better makeup brands. better yet, switch to mineral makeup! (monave, ocean mist)
Their lipgloss is ****, but I love their eyeshadows go get them!

does it really create a flawless glowy look?

    hows the coverage?

where can i purchase it? is it worth it?

    how much is it?

any advice or recommendationsReview over Diorskin Forever Foundation-Extreme wear flawless makeup?
i know someone who wears it and their skin looks great always

i tried it on my hand, and it was average, but i chose the lightest color, so i'm not sure for you, im kinda pale...

sephora carries it and in canada it is about 50$

i think its worth it, im saving for it now! =)

also, at sephora if you don't like ti or the color, even after you use it, you can bring it back!Review over Diorskin Forever Foundation-Extreme wear flawless makeup?
    Yeah it is amazing

If you understand about makeup please answer? review?

can you tell me if these are good or bad:

l'oreal bare naturale all over mineral glow

cover girl, wetslicks fruit sprintzers strawberry

    lashexact covergirl mascara.

another question is, brown or black mascara (ivory skin tone with cool undertones, brown eyes, very long eyelashes)If you understand about makeup please answer? review?
ok bare mineral glow, it works well, it doesn't really make skin glow tho...i mean it covers up blemishes somewhat and it doesn't make you break out...A lot. over all its ok. wetslicks is nice, it makes a glossy look, and the colors are nice too. and lashexact is great. and i suggest brown mascara for you, so your eyes don't look too crazy over the topIf you understand about makeup please answer? review?
they are all great products... and both black and brown mascaras are great for you... brown for day... black for night.

max factor has a great mascara too... i forgot the name but it has a bright yellow eyelash stick. it's great.

also if your looking to save money and love makeup you can go to coastalscents.com thay have an 88 palette eye shadow kit. its the cheaper version of M.A.C... thier brushes are not so bad either fo rthe price.
Black mascara, but don't get the kind that lengthens it just the one that colors it and makes them look thicker, you'll have a much more edgier look to your eyes with dark colored make up.
i use the lash exact covergirl mascara and love it! if your eyelashes are black or brown i would suggest black. i use brown because i have strawberry blond lashes. sorry i cant help you with the rest.

okay for anyone who has EVER ordered from E.L.F....are their products any good? did the shipping and handling go okay? any reviews or comments would be GREATLY APPRECIATED! should i try from their website or should i continue using brands i find at wal mart? (as in:CoverGirl, Remmel, etc.)E.L.F makeup product review?
I LOVE ELF! I always buy from them (at least once a month.)

Their products are such good quality - and they don't test on animals!

CoverGirl is horrible, they use animal fats in their foundation (and they also test on animals.) Rimmel tests on animals as well, so I don't buy them anymore - but I know all about the good brands who are cruelty-free if you're interested! :)

My favorite eye products (I can't live without these):

    Earth %26amp; Water Mascara Duo

Wet Gloss Lash %26amp; Brow Clear Mascara

    Brightening Eye Color

    My favorite face products:

    All Over Cover Stick

    Shielding Hydro-tint

    Shimmering Facial Whip

    My favorite lip products:

    Candy Shop Lip Tins

Super Glossy Lip Shine SPF 15

    Therapeutic Conditioning Balm

I love the brushes as well, they are $1 each. The best ones are these:

e.l.f. professional Travel Kit (I do not leave the house without this)

    Blushing, Bronzing and Blending Brush

    Eyelash %26amp; Brow Wand

    Eye Shadow Brush

    Defining Eye Brush

    Total Face Brush

    Foundation Brush

I know that's a lot of products I recommended, but here's a great site that has ELF coupons:

You can get half off and free shipping. :)E.L.F makeup product review?
I love E.L.F. %26amp; have bought a ton of things from them. When i first started ordering from them the shipping was awful but it has gotten much better recently. My favorite things from E.L.F. are their mineral eyeshadow, i have almost every color. I also love their makeup brushes, their lip glosses with spf 15, candyshop lip glosses, plumping lip glaze, moisture-care lip color, %26amp; their brightening eye color.
For what you are paying for their prodect... They are amazing. Compared to higher brand make-up like MAC or Dior or Clique... I wouldn't touch that stuff with a ten foot pole. It makes my skin break out, the foundation just sucks, and the eye shadows don't blend too well. But for how cheap it is, it's totally worth it. Especially if you don't have any money to spend or you are just learning how to use makeup and want to play around.
I bought the eyeliner at Target, and I really liked it.

Whats your review on mineral makeup?

If you have tried one of these brands give me your review on it.

    Bare Minerals.

    Everyday Minerals.

    Youngblood.

    AN Minerals.

    Meow minerals.

    Pur minerals.

    Drugstore Minerals(loreal,neutragena,ect.)

and if you have used something else..you can still give a review.

thanks!Whats your review on mineral makeup?
    1. Sheer Cover plain sucks.

    2. Bare Minerals is good. if you like it buy it from Sephora.

    3. Everyday Minerals is better than BE and cheaper. Get the kit if you're going to get it.

    4. I think Loreal is okay, but it's better o spend your money on something better like Everyday Minerals or Bare Minerals.

Remember to tap your brush before you apply or it will looks uneven. If you do not have enough coverage, just apply more, until you do.

Also, matched for the right color for your skin. If it looks chalky, it means the foundation is too light. If you seek lines in your face, the foundation tone is too dark.Whats your review on mineral makeup?
I tried drug store minerals and they were so-so I wasn't impressed, but Then a friend had me try her bare Minerals and OMG it was great! You know how when you have a small scab from an old zit on you face and you put foundation or powder on it, you not only and still see it but the edges of it look dry, flaky, and you just can't get that area to blend. With bare Minerals not only did it blend but it disappeared all together!
Bare Minerals: My friend bought the starter kit and she absolutely LOVES it. It's worth the $60. Trust me. The brushes that come with the kit alone are worth more than $60. My friend said it's nice and matte but has that nice, not-greasy glow to it. And apparently lasts a long time.

Everyday Minerals: I've tried this in Semi-Matte Golden Medium. Works pretty well. It keeps me nice and matte but not cakey or over powdered.

As for Drugstore Minerals, I haven't tried them yet (although, I'm contemplating about going to Walgreens and doing a little shopping), but on Makeup Moxie's blog, she actually reviewed several drugstore mineral makeup brands and compared them to Bare Minerals. You should check that out. If you choose to go for drugstore brands, Makeup Moxie's blog might help.

I've also read great reviews about J. Lynne Mineral Foundations. You might want to check that out.

Hope this helps! Happy Mineral Makeup Shopping! =)
i hate mineral makeup it dosnt really do anything at all ( =

i tried sheer cover and it sucked and i also tried some from the store it wasnt as bad but still didnt really do anything
mineral make up is good for you and its not a foundation it doesnt feel like your wearing make up
i use mineral powder that i bought from the lady who waxes my eyebrows and she buys it at conventions. its called..... well idk what it was called cause she puts the spa's name on it

    but it works really well
Bare Minerals = cakey and looks like old lady makeup. Made my face look like i had lines it doesnt have

Pur minerals = same, but worse

Physicians formula = shiny, made me look old
Out of those.. BARE MINERALS IN THE BEST!

    omg. lol

Every GIRL in my family uses it, and I totally reccomend it!!!

    =)
ok bare minerals does cover ****

    everyday minerals? what issss that?

    youngblood? what the heck?

    an minerals? what?!

meow minerals? are you a cat?

pur minerals? you mean pure? i doubt that works

loreal, neutrogena and other drugstore mineral powders are crap.

basically what im trying to say is if you have really good skin and just want something to cover shine or whatever...then use minerals by all means...but only use bare minerals, some of my cousins swear by it...otherwise..if u need coverage..do not do this to ureself. go and try MAC studio fix.

P.S. If you use ';DIOR'; makeup also please tell me which is better!!!!

    I really Loves MAC. Why?

    1. It is good for sensitive skin

    2. The price is quite affordable than other branded cosmetics (eg: Dior)

    3. The results are great.

    4. It is easy to use

    5. It could last long (eg: i bought an eyeshadow 1 or 2 years ago, and i still haven't see the base yet. Same thing goes with the blusher. I bought it 1 years ago and i just see a bit of the base)

    6. There are a lot of range you can choose that suits better for your skin (I really love their foundation and powder. A lot of range to choose. It is even good for oily skin).

    7. The colour range are lots and good (but if you prefer to have a more natural make up, bobbi brown is another option for you).

MAC items that I am currently using:

    1. lip, eye, and skin primer

    2. moisturiser.

    3. mineralize satin-finish foundation

    4. studio fix powder

    5. powder blush

    6. eye shadow, eye liner, lip gloss, lustreglass, lipstick

    7. Cleanse-off oil Make up remover (it is really good. Coz I am sensitive to lots of brand. I have tried a lot.)

However I am not really interested with the mascara. I prefer Dior Mascara, Lancome, Revlon and Maybeline.

I suggest you to try it. Now they have lots of mineral make up, which is good for your skin.

Anyone used it? reviews?
Most makeup artists and/or fans compair NYX to MAC makeup. It's a great line for the cost and it applies well especially when you use a primer before adding your eyeshadow. • M.A.C makeup? I've heard great reviews of studio fix makeup, but I don't have any stores nearby to test shades?

Does anyone know what the equivalent would be from Revlon Colourstay Nude shade would be?

I'm wanting it for my weddingM.A.C makeup? I've heard great reviews of studio fix makeup, but I don't have any stores nearby to test shades?
    Hi,

here is a colour chart for Revlon Colorstay vs MAC Studio Fix Fluid

Ivory: NW15/ NC15 lightest of the bunch

Buff: NC20 best match for fair NCs

Sand Beige: NC20-25 with somewhat neutral undertones

Nude: NC25 with peachy undertones, definitely not for pinks or true golden

Natural Beige: NW20 tends to run pink

Medium Beige: NC27 between Sand Beige and Golden Beige

Fresh Beige: NW25 with pinky undertones

Golden Beige: NC30 with truest yellow/olive undertones

Warm Golden: NW30/NC30 with somewhat neutral undertones

True Beige: NW30 with pinky undertones (for Fresh Beige in summer)

Natural Tan: NC40/NC42 more neutral than golden caramel

Early Tan: NW35 with somewhat peach undertones

Rich Tan: NW35 with pinkish undertones

Golden Caramel: NC40/NC42 more golden than natural tan

    Toast: NW43/NC45 with neutral undertones

    Rich Ginger: NW45 very peachy-pink

Caramel: NC45 seems to run true to color

Cappucino: NC50 slightly more peach than Caramel

Mahogany: NW50/NC55 the darkest of NWs but not extremely peachy

Mocha: NW55 seems to be very cool toned, almost grey undertone

The thing is, with MAC foundations the NC or NW before the number stands for Neutral cool or neutral warm... You really need to be colour matched at MAC because whether your skin has cool or warm undertones can make a difference when getting the perfect match. If you have warm undertones (yellowy) go for NC. If you have cool undertones to your skin (pinky) go for NW to even it up.

As you can see for each Revlon colour there can be a few MAC colours. This is because MAC's spectrum is much more wide, as opposed to Revlon who have quite dramatic colour jumps!

You can use the above as a good guide though. And dont forget you can always return it, if you are not 100% happy. :D

Are you going to try the powder or fluid? Beware once you try one thing you will be hooked :DM.A.C makeup? I've heard great reviews of studio fix makeup, but I don't have any stores nearby to test shades?

    User reviews/opinions on BareMinerals makeup?

I'm running out of foundation/powder I use everyday -- it's been MAC Studio Fix for the past 4 years as a powder and lately Benefit Playsticks for a concelear which both work great, but I've been thinking of trying out BareMinerals, since it claims to be lighter with good coverage and you can sleep in it! (good for those nights where i pass out drunk. just kidding!)

I love it. Just make sure you get the right color, the lighting in most stores is horrible and I've noticed that the sales people in the stores that sell it don't know what they're talking about. Ulta sold me a color too dark and my SIL color too light. Although they were extremely helpful at the actual Bare Minerals store. There's one in King of Prussia, PA.User reviews/opinions on BareMinerals makeup?
I use BareMinerals Make up %26amp; I sleep in it I love It ,I Love Mac use it for special times when u take pictures or go out use the minerals for every day so u can pass out in it..lol
i love bareminerals, just get the right color.there are no cons when u use bare minerals, it helps make ur pimples go away
Okay...here's the truth on Bare Escentuals...if you have dry skin that's not acne prone, BE should work very well for you. If you have normal to oily skin that is prone to breakouts, this product will leave your skin looking greasy and it does not cover breakouts at all. I tried the product, and it felt heavy on my face, it made me look greasy (applying the Mineral Veil only made it worse!), and it did not cover any red spots or blemishes. Not to mention that BE is horribly overpriced!! However, I will suggest that you try Everyday Minerals...you can choose from 4 different formulas to match your skin type, whether you have dry skin, oily skin, combo skin etc...they have a wide variety of color options to match your skin tone (they offer a free sample kit where you can order 3 colors if you're not sure what your exact color would be-you only pay S%26amp;H), also EM mineral foundation covers your skin so well and it goes on so silky and leaves your skin feeling great all day! Also, this brand of makeup will save you a ton of money. It's great makeup at an affordable cost. Plus, the brushes are so soft and amazingly inexpensive as well! I'm going to leave you a link to their website down below, if you're interested in checking out this wonderful cosmetic line. Good Luck!
Honestly, It is the best make-up I have ever used and I don't think I'll ever use any other kind. It covers very well without looking all ';cakey'; and you never get lines. It matches almost any skin tone and you get two shades in the starter kit so you can find out what works best for you. It doesn't clog your pores and lasts quite a while. I got a new jar of the base around Christmas time and it's still not empty. Bare minerals also has a good variety of eye shadows and stuff like that which I would also recommend. Hope that helps. :D
I love love love bare minerals.

I've been using it since thanksgiving, and it gives me really good coverage, and I have very red cheeks from keratosis pylaris, and it covers it up really well,

during the summer I mix together some of the ';warm'; mineral that comes with the starter kit, with the foundation, and just wear those together which gives a nice warm tone, but still evens out my skin tone.

hope this helps! I would definitely recommend it.

    Reviews on makeup please?

Hi what foundation brand is best and why? Pros and cons ? Safe for acne and controls oil? Good coverage and lasts long for light skin.

Try Makeupalley.com to read reviews on these foundations. There is no ';best'; foundation, it's just a matter of finding the one that works for you. Finding the right foundation is really trial and error, and since you are limited to drugstore brands, read some reviews because they can really help you decided. If you buy something and you don't like it, you can always return it and try something different.

Anyone know some really great makeup review sites?

Okay does anybody know any websites that have

    Hi there

I would like to say Amazon (beauty) section. You can find info on pretty much all kinds of cosmetics there.
    www.covergirl.com

Its the best makeup site ever. It has quizzes on which type of makeup you should be using, and which colors that would best compliment your skin tone, hair color and eye color. It matches up perfectly. Good luck.

    Bare Minerals makeup? Any reviews?

Hi! I just bought the Bare MInerals starter kit..

Usually, makeup/liquid foundation breaks me out..

Does anyone have reviews for this product?

Does it last all day?Bare Minerals makeup? Any reviews?
I bought it about a week ago and it looks okay as long as you use a primer. I would take it back, but my skin is pretty broken out so I want to let it clear up and this stuff is supposed to be good on the skin. After a few hours it does wear off though!

There is this stuff by benefit that looked so good, I am still contemplating returning my bare minerals for it!

They also have a primer that is not supposed to let any makeup get into your skin, I think it's called that gal.

    http://www.benefitcosmetics.com/gp/product/B000HAZLZ2/sr=1-1/qid=1224654118/ref=sr_1_1/103-9275492-8976608?ie=UTF8%26amp;n=164989011%26amp;bcBrand=core#DESCRIPTIONBare Minerals makeup? Any reviews?
Here's why people dislike Bare Minerals 90% of the time:

-They aren't using the right shade

-They aren't doing it right (they say swirl tap buff for a reason)

    - They use too much (people who say it's too powdery)

-They try to use brushes from other companys that don't work with mineral makeup.

Give it a try, your kit will have 2 foundations. Did somebody help you pick a shade? If not, do a stripe with each color and whichever blends the best is your shade. Please either watch the dvd or read up on it. If it's not done right- then DUH it's not gonna look right.

if you go to whole food stores in make up department you can find mineral

foundations and powders, lipsticks and other stuff.

for some reason the mineral make ups does not work on some people.

and believe it or not the brand names are not such a good products either.

so i guess for every one is different some will say this and that are the best but when you use it on yourself it does not work out well.

usually i do not wear make up only tint face cream and that mineral

    loos powder.

and when i have to use make up i only use compares foundation which it can be use dry or moisturized, my favorite brand was Lancom.

only the foundation then i tried Shiseido and i m stuck with it.

well guess you have to try it and see how it works for you, you never know.

bare minerals contains a substance called bismuth oxychloride and it causes irritation of the skin. most mineral makeups that are in store like walmart have the same thing in it. next time try www.madminerals.org. they have a huge selection, with really good prices and their products do not have bismuth oxychloride.
I really like it.. it's bit too yellow for my skin (too beige) because I'm pretty white/pink.. kind of have porcelain skin, and my cheeks are pink. So like I said, it kind of makes me look a little more beige than I'd like to be, but that's just me. On the bright side, it stays on long, feels great on, covers well, etc. The trick is which brush you use. The smaller the brush, the more coverage there is. If I want a natural look, I use a big brush. For more coverage, I use my own foundation brush, which is fairly small. I don't use the mineral veil because I like the natural shine of the foundation itself. I've tried other mineral makeups, like the one from E.L.F, but this one stays on longer. I bought mine from eBay, and it's a bit cheaper. QVC also sells it and they have a money back guarantee for everything. I'm fairly certain this won't break you out, and you'll like it. Just experiment with it and see what you like. Good luck! :o) I found, by the way, that the blush didn't last very long. Haven't tried the eyeshadows and such, tho.
I've had it for over a year. Sometimes it looks good, sometimes I hate the way it looks. Powdery. And I can easily make a mistake with color and starting over is very time consuming. It takes a long time to apply, and that is a deal breaker for me. I usually go back to my Lancome. Bare Minerals does seem to last all day. I did have a problem of their sending it without my asking. That was a huge problem for me. I have enough to leave it in my will to my granddaughters.
my mom bought the stuff and it was no better than store bought makeup. and they kept trying to send her more stuff she didnt order and then charge her for it! send it back immediently and cancel your subscription if you have one! i know this didnt really answer your question, im just trying to help you save your money!
You're going to love it. Ive been using it for over three years and I will never use anything else again. It feels like u have no makeup and the coverage is good. I know it seems like it might not be but its really good. I can go on and on, but you'll see! good purchase! It lasts pretty well, but you can always reapply or just brush on some of the mineral veil if u think u look oily.

For the people who said that the company kept sending more makeup without them ordering it...If they had paid attention to what they ordered, the club came with the first initial purchase, which sends you more makeup at a discount plus a free gift, every so often, you pick how long the time is between new shipments and u can do that online. They arent trying to trick anyone...durdur
I tried Sephora's mineral makeup and it is great. I did waste my money on the cheaper brands and there is no comparison. It is a little pricey but works.
i will never go back to liquid foundation. one the best inventions ever created.
    i used to use it

it stays on very well, but it kindof feels nasty on your skin, i LOVE the eye shadows though

i've tried 2 out of 3 of those

revlon colorstay is amazing! you have the same skin type as me. it's kind of hard to blend like you really have to concentrate on blending well, but it looks really good in the end, the coverage is great.

cover girl lashblast mascara.. ehh. i know a lot of people that like it but honestly it didn't work that great for me. i really hoped it would but it didn't.

    :]Makeup product reviews please?
Revlon colorstay is dry but you need to know how to apply it properly

.. you need a wet sponge wedge and then apply it then its perfect :)

theres a girl on youtube who had a tutorial on how to put it on perfectly..

    covergirl lashblast is a great choice ( Y )
I found Colorstay hard to use as it is rather thick and dry. Maybelline 3 in 1 works better on my oily skin and can be reapplied as required.

    Bare Minerals makeup....reviews???

PROS AND CONS PLEASE...I'M THINKING ABOUT BUYING IT

I have acne prone skin (adult acne since I am 20 and still break out, badly) and my skin also tends to get shiny/oily later on in the day but is very dry for a couple of hours after I wash it...umm what else?

oh yeah, i have scarring from acne.

So do you guys know if it will be good for me or bad?

any negative or positive experinces with the makeup?

I use it and I love it. It has alot of other products you can buy once you see if you like the basic stuff. I found a couple of sites on reviews that might be helpful to you. Good Luck ~~~Bare Minerals makeup....reviews???
Yup pretty much everyone who has used it will say they love. I LOVE IT. I have used it for like 5 years but I had to switch to sheer cover. I have alot of old acne scars and like you i'm 22 and still get bad breakouts. So I had to switch because I wanted to use liquid foundation which I found to work better to cover the acne scars. Bare really makes your skin look really beautiful and it really help control the oil with mineral veil. The sheer cover works good it's simalur to bare, I was hesitant after being a loyal customer of Bare but tried it and it works great. You just have to find what works for you!
I really like mine, but to cover up some of my acne I need a bit stronger of a concealer. I use one of my own that blends really well, but you can probably buy one from the store, essp. for the scars you are talking about. I bought a starter kit which is really great because it comes with a mineral veil which absorbs the oil in your face, then you get two skin tone shades, the second should be darker than you regular so you can adjust in summer months. It also comes with a vitamin acne mosturizer- that fights acne under the make-up. Then it comes with what they call warmth, which is basically a tanner or bronzer. Then you have clear radiance which is a sort of all around illuminator- to help brighten the skin. I also bought a blush as well in rose radiance, but the clear radiance kind of works like a blush in a way.

After I bought my kit, I also found that they have it in target- almost the exact same kit for only $49- I think the only difference is that it comes with fewer brushes and does not have a travel compact (which the other kit has). I paid in the store over $100, so I was kind of mad but at least I can pass that detail to you- GOOD LUCK!
Bare minerals is great, but it wont cover acne as well as other makeups.

Stay away from GloMinerals *it has shine to it

Another thing about mineral makeup though is that if you rub it on a lot it will show more shine.

It's great because it doesnt clog your pores, but if you wash your face twice a day then you won't have that issue with any makeup. Go for the best coverage if you have a well established skin care regimen
sooo i purchased the bar minerals starter kit after reading all the reviews and im not going to lie, my skin seriously doesnt look any better.. the after pictures soo someoone looking flawless who looked good before.. i have no pimples and pretty decent skin but i looked the exact same and still got oily and my dry skin showed through so i dont know.. i wouldnt exactly recommend it but you can try it for yourself and get back to me on it, i think i'd like to know how it worked for you! sooo yeah you should do that :) i hope it works for you!
Great makeup for many people, my mom loves it! For me it didn't offer enough coverage and took a long time to apply. I had to sit there trying to layer it enough to cover up any small acne spots. It seemed to feel dry around my eye area even though I don't have dry skin at all.

I haven't been happy using powder foundations. I like a cream to powder formula instead. Many people with sensitive skin like mineral makeup though.
It is good in the sense that it doesn't clog your pores.

But, honestly, if you have a lot of acne then it isn't going to cover ****.

It's good for ';good'; skin or ';average'; skin but I think for what you're looking for you'd be dissapointed.

I only use mine rarely. If my skin is clear but uneven or if I am really, really lazy and don't care how I look. I probably won't buy it again when I run out.
i've used it for 6months. it's great. i have sensitive skin and i often sleep in it and never get acne. the only con for me is probably that it doesnt fully cover my old acne scars but i noticed they have concealers so i will try that otherwise i rate the product 10/10
pros : it makes your skin clearer , its soft and goes on great , i like it

cons: it doesnt cover up very well , its really expensive , and if you spill it it stains until you machine wash it out
I have used it for a couple years now ILOVE IT!!! and everything ive ever read speaks very highly for it in the fight againest acne.... try it youll love it!!
try using cover fx mineral foundation for covering up your acne... it design to do dat
Well for me its kind of a love/hate thing.

    Pro's

I love that its mineral makeup [of course]

    I like the color's

the foundation matches my skin almost exactly

And that it has brushes[more on the brushes]

I love the eyebrow kit [Its not a pencil its a brush and a pot of powder. very nice :)]

I like the chapstick that comes with it [ you can use it and dip it in the eyeshadows and stuff and use them as lipstick]

When i put it on it looks weird like it wont go on my skin all the way

Sweating makes the foundation and even the eyeshadow come off!

It wears off reallly quickly [even if you dont sweat!]

The brushes are not as soft and nice as they said they were [GRRRR]

The makeup goes everywhere, Major fallout and it always gets in my eyes and irritates them

Kind of looks cakey sometimes [no i dont put a whole bunch on, BARELY any]

I have to keep re-applying it

Really way too much money for something you have to re-apply all the time.

    Suggestions:

Try foiling the eyeshadows [make sure you always foil the gold colors. they dont work well if you dont]

Buy Liquif-Eye by TooFaced [it helps with the eyeliner]

    http://toofaced.com/product.asp?cat_id=1鈥?/a>

I suggest you get MAC Cosmetics, You get way more for your money. WAAAAAAAAY more

    Hope that helped:)
I have mixed feelings about it. When I first began using it, I was very happy w/ it. I thought the coverage was good and the mineral veil did wonders for my oily skin. I really liked the concealer brush and felt that it did a great job. I have some odd undertones to my skin color and I have a very hard time finding makeup that matches those undertones. This did a wonderful job, blended well and you ';control'; the amount of coverage. I didn't have ';lines'; around my face. It did not cause any acne problems for me. (My skin is nowhere near perfect and I do have breakouts here and there occasionally.) It lasted until the next shipment came and I never ran out before the new set arrived. The ';eye enhancer'; which comes as a free gift w/ the initial shipment is great (a little goes a long way).

However, the brushes made my face itch...horribly. The ';dust'; from the powder was everywhere (floor, sink, counter) and I am not a messy person. It does come w/ a ';travel compact';, again it's sloppy to use and hope and pray that it doesn't pop open while in your handbag. You also need to carry around a brush w/ you to apply it. Be VERY careful w/ the bronzer....a VERY little goes a VERY long way (it's great though). The makeup will rub on your clothing and fingers if anything touches your face. After a few months of use, I did notice that my oily skin had conquered the mineral veil. (Maybe your skin gets used to it or maybe I just wasn't using enough.) I didn't feel that the coverage was good enough or lasted all day and I usually had to touch it up. It does take more time to apply than other makeup. I finally couldn't handle the itching and makeup covered clothes/floor/counter so I went back to foundation. I do occasionally use it.

I have 2 friends who use it as well...one stopped because of the itchy brushes. The other LOVES it. She has a very red face and it is the only makeup that will blend into her skin to tone down the redness. She looks great in it!

I have tried numerous times to clean the brushes and they do not clean well. The brushes are not bothersome when I replaced the constantly but they are pricey and I couldn't find any other type of brush that worked the same way.

    I would definitely say that it's worth a try. Play around w/ the brushes to find the one that offers the best coverage for you. Enjoy! =}

you're smoking hot. very very fine
You can upload a pic of yourself to my website and try on different color combinations. You have beautiful coloring. I would do a mineral powder foundation in Ivory 2 with a berry colored lipstick and blush. I would do neutral colors (browns, grays) for your eyes with brown eyeliner and black mascara. Have fun!
omg, you are super duper cute! there's something about you that is just so unique. i love your hair and your makeup your wearing is beautiful. i think you'd be stunning with a more natural look not too much eyeliner(black at least) just keep it to a minimum. good luck!

    E.L.F Makeup reviews?

Just bought alot of makeup from E.L.F, the prices shocked me.

Is it any good?E.L.F Makeup reviews?
Some of the products are good, some are not. To get an idea, look up products on youtube or reviews on youtube.

Keep in mind when i say they are good, they are good for being cheap. If you want better quality, some drugstore products will be better

Through personal experience I have also found that they do not have a long shelf life. The mascara dries out, the fake lashes fall apart faster than even drugstore products.

If you want it for the price, it is really good! But compared to drugstore products, drugstore is still better.

(Although I do love their blotting sheets which i still carry with me everywhere!)E.L.F Makeup reviews?
Yes. They are amazing. I love their eyeshadow duos, they are just the right amount of pigment. Not too dark, not too light. It's amazing.

The nail polishes? Great. Super pigmented, also.

My favorite? Their brushes! I have to tell you, I love their eyeshadow brushes more than MAC sometimes. You can get a whole set for about $9, I think. Best Christmas ever!
    omg yes! I love ELF!!!

easiest way is to look at individual brands and read into the product, then compare them with different brand and find one you might like. After you've decided you might like to check for review or just ask people that have used it how the product is. I use Korean and Japanese brands.

I use gel eyeliner the ones with brush and also my Peripera mascara is dual it also has liquid eyeliner. I quiet like the mascara because it stays in shape well.

    Makeup reviews from Sephora?

Hi! I just turned 13 and I received a lotttttt of money. I wanna buy some makeup but since a lot of the makeup at Sephora is expensive I wanna make sure its worth money. So, what do you think about:

    Givenchy Phenomen'Eyes Mascara

and Too Faced Starry Eyed Mini Liquid EyeLiner Set?Makeup reviews from Sephora?
Well, i have to say that Phenomen'eyes is A-mazing. I love it more than any mascara I've ever used.

And the Two-Faced is good and you get alot of colors but beware if you wear contacts. Urban Decay Heavy Metal liners are easier to apply and dry faster.Makeup reviews from Sephora?
Yes, sephora has great makeup. Although it's exspensive, the quality of their products is excellent! I've never used the products you are talking about, but I know that those brands are very good. I've been shopping at Sephora for a while and have never boughten makeup there that either hated or has gone bad quickle or got used up fast.
girl, i'm 13 too and i absolutely loveeeeeeeeeee sephora make up. i've tried too faced b4 and it looked so pretty. i've heard that the mascara is awesome too. my sister is in her early 20s and she still wears sephora too since it doesn't give her zits or anything. its totally worth the money. cheap make up will give you pimples and you won't look too good. sephora has really cute colors and you can use it in different ways. u should really get it. you'll like it a lot. :)
Well it all depends on what you like some people love something that other poeple hate. Whats great is that you can buy the sutff, if you dont like it with in like 30 days (the sooner the betteR) you can return it!
I like the Givency Mascara ALOT,

but not the too faced liner, its really messy, get Urban Decay liquid liner instead
Everything at Sephora is really good.
